Kegelstatt Trio

This is Mozart's Kegelstatt Trio augmented by percussion and a chorus: Daphne with her cooking pots and a choir of company coming to dinner. It is a preprandial jam that I recorded in our living room the second time we read it through. The violist had once performed it many years before and the pianist, Robert Horvath, was playing it for the first time. If the piano sounds unusual, that's because it is unusual, a Mathushek grand from 1933.

  1. Andante
  2. Menuetto
  3. Rondo: Allegretto
